Askam In Furness is situated directly on the estuary and our house is a five minute walk to the beach. With an assortment of specialist shops, and cosy pubs, Cumbria is home to the Lake District National Park, With breathtaking mountains and 16 sparkling lakes, The delights of the Lakes are about 20 minutes drive, Coniston, & Windermere are just waiting to be explored! We have one double bedroom to suit a couple or single person within our house . You will be sharing bathroom facilities. We have the other main bedroom. Towels are provided for your convenience, & help yourself to complimentary tea & coffee in your room. We live in the house along with our friendly Collie. We Are always happy to offer advice whether it's about walking, dining, or attractions. We are very friendly and happy to point out some of our favourite places to visit, eat & drink. You are welcome to borrow our collection of maps, and walking books, or a rucksack if you need it! We have travelled widely ourselves and know how important a friendly face and a 'home from home' can be. In Askam there is a local post office, co-op store, bakery, fish & chip shop, Chinese takeaway, & Indian takeaway/restaurant.
