  • In these Terms of Use where we use the phrase 'Our Site' or 'Us', which shall be referring to the SellItBuyItFree.com web site.
    By using our site you agree to these Terms of Use.
    
    For the next few weeks we shall be altering these Terms of Use. Please check these periodically Terms of Use.
    
    Your continued use of our site constitutes your acceptance of our Terms of Use and any changes to our Terms of Use.

  • In these Terms of Use where we use the phrase 'User', 'Users', 'You' or 'Your', which shall be referring to the Users, Members or Visitors of Our Site.

Registration

• You must be 16 or older to have an account with us.
  You must provide your real name and postcode and keep your account up-to-date at all times.
  You must not share your account information with anyone else.
  You may only have one account. Anyone that we believe has more than one account will be notified of this and asked to close all but one of their accounts.
  Your username must not contain any trademarks or copyright information without you providing proof that you own or have permission to use such copyrighted trademarks or names. If we feel that you do not hold such proof we reserve the right to close your account, you will have a chance to reverse this should you at a later date provide proof that you own it and or have permission to use it. (If the rightful owner of a user name being used that contains a trademark or copyrighted information wishes they may contact us with the relevant proof that they do own it and we can close the offending account)
  No username shall contain inappropriate or offensive words. (if anyone feels that someone has an inappropriate username they may contact us and ask that it be changed and/or removed.)
  We reserve the right to remove/alter any username that we feel may mislead another user in to thinking that they are an admin of this site when they are not.
  

Ownership

• You own all rights to Your Information that you add to the site. Such Information can either be removed by yourselves or by requesting this via our site using the Contact Us page.

Uploading Information

• Each account may have upto 100 items listed as Live at any one time. You may upgrade your account should you wish to list more.
  When uploading Your Information please ensure that there is no personal information like home address, phone number (land line or mobile), also consider other peoples personal information that may identify them. If you are uploading a vehicle, please do not have the registration showing, block this out and Private Message any interested parties the registration details. This can protect both you and the potential buyer.
  You will not post content that: is hate speech, threatening, or pornographic; incites violence; or contains nudity or graphic or gratuitous violence.
  You will not upload viruses or other malicious code.
  You will not solicit login information or access an account belonging to someone else.
  You will not post unauthorized commercial communications (such as spam) on our site.
  No adverts promoting any company without our prior permission. Such adverts will be removed without warning.

Items NOT allowed

• NO LIVE STOCK, Animals (for example but not limited to Cats, Dogs or other pets) IS TO BE LISTED ON THIS SITE BY ANYONE. Any account that breaks this rule will have their account block immediately.
  NO GUNS, NO DRUGS (in any shape or form) or other items that are considered illegal or may be controversial.
  NO FAKE ITEMS
  The basic rule for what can or cannot be listed is, if the item can be sold in the normal sense in a High Street shop, and does not require any laws, licence's or otherwise, then you may list it on this site.

Safety

• We do our best to keep our site safe, but we cannot guarantee it. We need your help to keep it safe, which includes the following commitments by you.
  Where possible meet up in a public place and always tell a family member or friend who you are meeting with and where you are meeting them, also what time you are expecting to return. Better still take someone you trust with you when meeting the buyer or seller.
  Payment must be organised with the seller. Cash is the suggested method of payment. If you are not local to the buyer/seller then we advise PayPal as a safe method of payment, where the item needs posting, we take no responsibility for non-payment as it should be organised between yourselves.
  

Respect of other users

• Please respect the rights of other users of our site.
  Do not send any inappropriate messages via any means on our site.
  If you receive an inappropriate Private Message please use the 'Report Message' link beside the message to notify Admin, you will be required to explain in the form why you feel it is inappropriate. Admin will then be able to view that message and report back to you with what action they can take.
  Do not engage in illegal activity on our site or encourage others to do so.
  If for whatever reason you cannot make a collection or you change your mind about buying or selling an item, please let the other user know so they can re-post or ask the seller to hold the item for you until they can collect.

Privacy

• Your privacy is very important to us.
  Apart from your Email Address and Private Messages that you receive from other Users of our site or Admin, any of Your Information you add to our site is viewable by anyone, whether they are a member or not.
  Your Email Address will NEVER be sold or given to any third party site or company, accept where the law requires it.

Cookies

• Our site does not currently use cookies to store information on your computers or devices. Our site does use Google Ads and various other ad related and statistical technologies which may make use of cookies.

Termination

• If you violate any part of these Terms of Use your account may be limited or blocked and can be completely removed. In any case you will have a chance to argue the case should you think your account has been limited or blocked for any reason.

Payment

• Should you wish to upgrade your account, you may do so via our Contact Us page where we shall give you our PayPal email to make payment to and ensure your account is upgraded smoothly.
  The charge per year is £10, which allows you to list upto 1000 items.

Miscellaneous

• In these Terms of Use singular shall mean the plural and the masculine gender shall mean the feminine gender or vice versa
  If any provision of these Terms of Use are held by any Court or other competent authority to be void or unenforceable in whole or part, these Terms of Use shall continue to be valid as to the other provisions thereof and remainder of the Terms of Use shall be unaffected.
  Nothing in these Terms of Use shall be deemed to create a partnership between the users of Our Site, and we shall not under any circumstances be liable for any act, omission, debt or other obligation of the user or users and the user or users will further indemnify us against any claim of any kind whatsoever including any claim for loss, interest and costs.
  The user acknowledges that our services provided is of such a nature that they can be interrupted for many reasons other than the negligence of the Company and that damages resulting from any interruption of products or services are difficult to ascertain. Therefore, the users agrees that we shall not be liable for any damages arising from such causes. In no event shall we be liable for any special or consequential damages, any pecuniary loss or damage to reputation.
